About NWDistrict.com I am pleased to announce the formation of a new website that is dedicated specifically to Northwestern District Cross Country and Track & Field! www.nwdistrict.com is a FREE, NON-PROFIT website that has been created to promote high school Cross Country and Track & Field in our region. We hope to add to the excitement of the sport by giving our Cross/Track student-athletes the recognition they deserve. NWDistrict.com is one website that consolidates information from all eight high schools in the Northwestern District! Each high school will have their own FREE web page that contains the team roster, meet schedule, announcements, practice schedules, team photos, and more! Our reporters will attend most meets, taking photographs and interviewing athletes for news stories. We plan to personalize the site with athlete profiles – and not just the star athletes! As you can tell, we are really excited about www.nwdistrict.com ! Reporter/Photographer Job Description We are looking for a few creative individuals who are interested in writing newsworthy, informative or entertaining stories for publication on NW District.com. Topics may include meet coverage, athlete profiles, coach or team profiles, or other related topics to the sport of running and track & field. High school journalism and/or photography students are encouraged to apply! Ability to take digital action photos with a Digital SLR camera is a plus, but not required. Job requires that the candidate have a valid drivers license, transportation, and ability to drive to regional meet locations. All candidates will receive training that is specific to sports photography, as well as a basic introduction to being a sports event reporter and interviewer. In the event you need help with writing your work, we will provide you with all the tech support you need in order for you to become a published author on the web. You will receive 100% percent credit for your work and we will provide you with constructive feedback. In the event that your work is well received, and you receive high ratings, you will be eligible to receive a positive letter of recommendation for future employment. Starting Pay:
Since NWDistrict.com is a non-profit site, no compensation is available at
this time. The reward is to become a published author, and contributing to
the sport of running and Track & Field! |
