September 16, 2006, Kernstown, VA - Four Handley High School boys smoked
their home field with times below seventeen minutes today to take the
boys crown at the Judges Classic. Clint Schiavone(16:40), Erin
McWhorter(16:45), Cameron Crowell(16:52) and Daniel Carlton(16:55) all
finished within fifteen seconds of one another to give the Judges an
awesome 1 thru 4 combination that made it difficult for any other team
to compare.
The Judges finished with just 68 points - the next closest team was
Potomac Falls, who finished with 117 points. Handley's boys won
last weeks James Wood Invitational, and with their dominating win today,
they have a lot of people in the running community talking.
On the girls side, Chantilly High School won the meet with 76 points.
Handley's Anna Cote finished in fourth place, just ahead of Millbrook's
Jillian Pollack who took fifth place. Handley's girls team placed
sixth, while the James Wood girls placed seventh.
