April 27, 2008 - April 26, 2008, Winchester, VA - This weekend James Wood High School hosted the highly anticipated Apple Blossom Invitational and despite the foreshadowing weather conditions most of the events went unhindered.  This year teams such as Skyline, Warren County, James Wood, Handley, Millbrook, and Sherando proudly represented the Northwestern District. While the overall winners of the meet included Loudoun Valley for the girl’s side and Broad Run for the boys, Millbrook once again lead the district by coming in third on both rankings.  Click here to read the rest of this article.

April 19, 2008, Winchester, VA - The first big invitational track and field meet this season produced a number of state and regional qualifiers for the six Northwestern District Teams that competed in the 68^th Handley Invitational yesterday.  Sixteen teams competed at Handley High School, with Handley, Sherando, Millbrook, James Wood, Skyline and Warren County representing the Northwestern District.  Heritage and Stone Bridge high schools dominated the team competition, with both schools tied for first place on the girls side.  Stone Bridge easily won the boys team competition. Millbrook’s boys placed third as a team, and that was the closest any of the district teams came to first place. Click here to read the rest of the article!

Season Begins!

April 3, 2008 - The 2008 Outdoor Track and Field season began last weekend, and continued yesterday with the City/County meet at Sherando High School.   NWDistrict.com plans to cover Track and Field in the Northwestern District in a big way this year - stay tuned for results, photo galleries and our NWDistrict.com Television!
